July Employee of the Month

This month, we proudly celebrate Darcy Davis, our July Employee of the Month at Hickory Creek of Athens!
Darcy has been an LPN with us for an incredible 36 years, a true pillar of our team and a shining example of dedication and compassion. She attended nursing school at Hocking College and knew from a young age that caring for others was her calling.
“I enjoy taking care of people,” she said.
“It’s what I always wanted to do.”
When she’s not at Hickory Creek, Darcy loves spending quality time with her family and friends. But even during her well-deserved time off, her heart remains with her residents.
Darcy’s favorite part of being a nurse?
“Taking care of the residents.” And that’s something everyone who works with her can clearly see. Her coworkers were quick to sing her praises during her nomination, describing her as hardworking, compassionate, supportive, and—without a doubt—irreplaceable.

- “She works the job like it’s nobody’s business. She runs two units like it’s a breeze—even on the hectic days!”
- “Darcy is the best nurse we have, hands down.”
- “She’s caring, supportive, always helpful, and a true asset to Hickory.”
- “We laugh a lot. It’s great working with Darcy and we always have fun.”
Darcy is also generous with advice for future nurses:
“Study hard, keep going even when it’s tough. Stick to your goals, further your education, and just be the best that you can be. Be compassionate—people need it.”
