About Us

Hickory Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was founded over 25 years ago in The Plains, located just outside of the historic, university town of Athens, Ohio.

At Hickory Creek we are dedicated to meeting a wide range of personal and medical needs with quality care and compassion. We offer long term, short term and respite stays. Our Rehabilitation Center offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy and restorative nursing. Licensed therapist and therapy staff work with patients on an individual basis to return them to their highest level of independence.

We also offer a full calendar of activities that includes outings, recreation, crafts and religious services. This approach helps each of our resident’s meet new friends and makes sure they participate in life to the fullest extent possible.
